Safety is no coincidence – it is the result of precise engineering
At RCE, we believe that battery safety is not an option – it is a responsibility. Every cell that runs away can lead to a chain reaction that endangers lives and products. Our "why" is clear: We develop safer battery systems so that innovation does not come at the expense of safety.
"We develop propagation-safe architectures so that your innovations can go into series production safely – without compromising on safety."
— RCE BatteryManager Team
Why Thermal Propagation is Your Biggest Challenge
A thermal runaway of a single cell can lead to a cascade reaction that endangers the entire battery pack.

Frequently asked questions
Short answers – for faster decisions.
Who owns patents or IP rights?
As a rule, all results, patents and IPs belong entirely to the client. We only ask to be named as co-inventors – without claiming any usage rights.
How do you ensure that the know-how stays in-house once you leave?
Knowledge transfer is a fixed part of every project. We document processes, create training material and run joint sessions – so your team can independently continue using all methods and tools. We remain available after project completion for questions or further development. Many clients extend the collaboration in the form of support or follow-up projects to benefit sustainably from the results.
Are we a good fit for you?
Our clients range from innovative start-ups and mid-sized engineering companies to international OEMs and tier-1 suppliers. What matters is not size, but the willingness to make things more efficient and smarter.
What are your main strengths?
We combine deep technical understanding with pragmatic execution. Our strength lies at the interface between ideas, development, testing and production – always with a focus on efficiency, quality and measurable results.
What happens after a project is awarded?
It depends on the specific product, but typically we start with a kick-off, define roles, interfaces and communication paths. Then we proceed with structured work packages, clear deliverables, regular alignment and transparent progress tracking.
What company sizes do you usually work with?
We regularly work with start-ups, SMEs and large corporate structures. Our team knows both the flexibility of small development environments and the formal processes of large organisations – from agile projects to ASPICE-compliant workflows.
Are you a typical consulting company that mainly delivers glossy presentations?
No. We are engineers, not classic consultants. Instead of glossy presentations, we deliver measurable results, technical solutions and robust data. We don’t just talk about optimization – we implement it.
Are you only experts in batteries?
Battery systems are our core topic, but our experience covers the entire ecosystem – from electronics and thermal management to validation and testing, through to production processes and cost optimization of technical products.
